I Wish I Were Sewing

My new sewing machine came in on Wednesday. I set it up and started working on it. The first think I made was a chiffon scarf made from leftover halter top fabric. It came out good. I sewed my name onto scraps of fabric and otherwise tested out the stitches, the knee lifter and the thread cutter. It feels that the extender table is in my way, so I took that off. So far, I really like it, I can’t wait to really get in there and go on some serious projects. I wanted to work on the halter top but I needed lining and Mick was gone with the car. Yesterday, I spent the day with my dad but I finally made it to the fabric store to get the lining. Maybe today I’ll get some real sewing done.
